Lucerne
The lake and seminar hotel

Hotel FloraAlpina

On the Lucerne Riviera, where palm trees grow and vines flourish in the heart of Switzerland , where Lake Lucerne lies at your feet and the Rigi backs you up, the FloraAlpina lakeside and seminar hotel welcomes its guests all year round. The open and unique location, the Mediterranean charm and the fantastic view of the lake and mountains make dreams come true.

The house, built between 1938 and 1941, stands in a unique park landscape designed by the Swiss landscape architect Gustav Ammann, who had a decisive influence on the garden architecture of Switzerland in the first half of the 20th century. He carelessly used the full range of exotic and native plants. Whether black pine, ginkgo or apple, lime tree, magnolia or trumpet tree - the concept of the plantings in Vitznau is not so much "down-to-earth" as it is a reflection of Ammann's subjective and artistic sensibilities. This provides for plants with special blossoms and attractive foliage and contrasts with the white building in an interesting way.

In the panoramic restaurant with its Mediterranean terrace, you can get a little closer to the sunset and Lake Lucerne. The kitchen crew, inspired by the climatic proximity to the south, offers a combination of local recipes, regional products and Mediterranean ideas. Since spring 2024, the hotel has once again had its own vegetable garden and greenhouse, and two bee colonies supply the hotel's own honey.

The 53 hotel rooms are individually furnished and partially renovated. The new rooms are simple and cozy, furnished with lots of wood. Sustainability is a top priority at the hotel, which is why only European wood was used in the redesign of the rooms. Various rooms in and around the house offer the ideal setting for weddings, family celebrations of all kinds as well as Christmas parties and company anniversaries for up to 120 people. There are 5 rooms available for seminars, conferences, meetings and retreats for up to 100 people.

Those looking for even more relaxation will find it in the cozy wellness area. There is a heated outdoor pool (April-October) and outdoor whirlpool, a Finnish sauna in the garden, a steam bath and a bio sauna.
